Queens Birthday Weekend

Why we celebrate Queens Birthday: For over a hundred years, the birthday of the reigning King or Queen has been celebrated in June each year in both Britain and New ZealandNew Zealand celebrates this holiday because the Queen is the head of state of New Zealand.

What I did during Queens Birthday: On Saturday I want to Jeana's birthday party with Ethan and Jorgia. I got to Jeana's house around 1:10pm. Jorgia stayed Friday night in the caravan, we blow up some balloons and watched a movie than about a 1 hour or 2 later Ethan showed up. At about 5pm we got in the car and went to Jeana's softball couch's house then we went to Tenpin bowling and Jeana won twice. Then we went home watched a couple of movies and after about 2 hours we went to bed.

The next morning at 6am Jeana woke up then I woke up at about 7:30 then Jorgia woke up not long after me and then Ethan woke up, I read my book, Jorgia and Jeana used their phones. 20 minutes later we went inside and had French toast with Maple Syrup, Bacon and Banana, and watched Aquaman, about an hour later we went to the spa and watched a movie and talked. Then we got back to the Caravan and watched Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Baking during lockdown

During the lockdown, I tried to make a vanilla cake but I overmixed the batter and instead of needed to be careful when you pick up a normal cake, the one that I made you could pick it up and flip it in the air and it would still be in one piece when you catch it and when my mum trough it outside for the birds it didn’t break on the driveway. I never got a try it and my mum bake the next cake, I might make another cake soon just for fun

W.A.L.T Inform our audience about Athletics Day

On Tuesday the 25th we had Athletics day. The year 7&8 Girls started with High Jump, we had to jump over a High pole and land on a mat, then we did ShotPut, where we had to throw a heavy ball as far as we could that was fun.

After we did Javelin, where we had to throw a pole as far as we could, then we did Long Jump we had to run till we got to a log in the ground then jump as far as we could I half rolled my ankle I don't know how far I jump but I bet I did well.

Next, we did 100-metre Sprint, Jorga and I skipped to halfway then ran the rest and most of the girls did 200-metre Sprints we cheered our houses' on. Afterwards, we did Discsu where we had to throw this disc-like thing as far as we could I have no idea how far mine wen but it was fun.

Then near the end of the day, there where relays & Competetive running. while the competitive running was happening I went over to Matais tent to sit and watch Jorgia play Sand City & The worlds hardest game. I loved Athletics day & I can't wait till next year when we can do it all again.
